Desktop Computer:A desktop computer is a personal computerthat fits on or under a desk. They usually consist of a monitor, keyboard, mouse and either a horizontal or vertical (tower) form factor. Unlike a laptop, which is portable, adesktop computer is meant to stay at one location.

 

 

Laptop Computer:a computer that is portable and suitable for use while traveling.

 

 

Tablet PC:a computer that accepts input directly onto an LCD screen rather than via a keyboard or mouse.

 

 

Smartphone:a cellular phone that performs many of the functions of a computer, typically having a touchscreen interface, Internet access, and an operating system capable of running downloaded applications

 

 

Server/Mainframe/Supercomputer:  Supercomputers are very expensive and are employed for specialized applications that require immense amounts of mathematical calculations
